About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a replacement W-7 steam coil assembly manufactured by Super Radiator Coils for use at Glenn Research Center's Building 23 (Engine Research Building).
The procurement requires one upgraded replacement steam coil assembly that will serve as a direct dimensional replacement for the existing custom-designed heat exchanger currently installed in W-7. The new assembly must fit exactly into the existing W-7 structural housing without requiring any facility modifications. Internally, the upgraded assembly will incorporate enhanced design features to improve robustness and longevity, addressing damage sustained by the current unit due to steam outages and extreme test condition operation. The delivery date or period of performance is October 30, 2026. The SOW indicates that significant engineering effort has already been invested in developing and integrating the original custom-designed coil assembly into the legacy facility hardware.

Statement of Work for W-7 Steam Coil Assembly Replacement
The Super Radiator Coils manufactured steam coil assembly is a custom designed heat exchanger used specifically in W-7 of Bldg 23 (Engine Research Building) at Glenn Research Center. The proposed procurement is for a direct dimensional replacement of the existing coil assembly but with some upgraded features. Dimensionally, the newly upgraded coil assembly will be an exact fit into the W-7 structural housing, requiring no modifications to the facility.
Interanlly, the newly upgraded coil assembly will contain design features that will aid in the robustness and longevity of the unit. Significant engineering has been spent developing the existing custom designed coil assembly and incorporating it into the legacy facility hardware.
The existing coil assembly has experienced damage due to steam outages and extreme test condition operation. A qty of 1 Super Radiator Coils upgraded replacement coil assembly is requested.
period of performance or lead-time for delivery is 10/30/2026.
