About this file

This is a Statement of Work for procurement and installation of a replacement lubrication system for a Superior Compressor 8 (WH74) at NASA Langley Research Center (LARC). The objective addresses a known design flaw in the original equipment manufacturer's lubricator system that causes excessive downtime due to the need for routine hand purging and leads to frequent internal component failures. The solution involves procuring and installing a Sloan Watchman lubrication system to replace the existing system and improve compressor uptime to meet center-wide high-pressure air demand.

The procurement includes five distinct line items: one Watchman system (part WM-000522), onsite installation services (part INS-00638), mobilization for installation (part MOB-001024), packaging charges, and required documentation services (part SB-). All materials will be used at the NASA LARC Compressor Station, with a total period of performance of 8 weeks. The Statement of Work does not specify pricing terms, response dates, award dates, or contract vehicle information.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements The lubricator system on the WH74 Superior Compressor 8 has a known design flaw that causes the system to routinely need hand purging. This process causes excessive downtime and often leads to internal lubricator system component failures requiring frequent repairs. Recognizing this issue Sloan Lubrication systems developed a Watchman lubrication system to replace the OE system on these compressors.

Procurement of this Sloan Watchman System will improve compressor uptime and allow the compressor station to meet center wide high-pressure air demand.
