About this file
This is a Statement of Work for hardware procurement of Allen-Bradley key switches to support control system upgrades at NASA Stennis Space Center.
The procurement is hardware-only, with no installation, testing, integration, or configuration services included. The contractor must supply and deliver 50 Allen-Bradley key switch components across 25 distinct part numbers, with 2 units of each model (800TC-H31BF through 800TC-H3126BF). All hardware must be new, unused, factory-certified genuine Allen-Bradley products meeting original manufacturer specifications, with no substitutions or refurbished parts permitted. The procurement is brand-name mandatory for Allen-Bradley components due to native compatibility with existing Allen-Bradley racks and backplanes, standardized control architecture across multiple test stands, pre-engineered integration with NASA's existing PLC codebase and safety interlocks, and proven performance in high-reliability propulsion test environments. Alternate vendors were evaluated but determined not to meet NASA Stennis Space Center's requirements for reliability, compatibility, and integration safety. Delivery must be made to Building 4010, NASA Stennis Space Center, Stennis Space Center, MS 39529, following NASA receiving requirements and including all shipment documentation. Hardware acceptance is contingent upon verification of correct part numbers and quantities, inspection confirming new and undamaged condition, and confirmation of compliance with the SOW and original manufacturer specifications. The procurement explicitly excludes installation, setup, programming, commissioning, testing, field engineering services, spare parts not listed, accessories, mounting hardware, special tools, and logistics services beyond standard delivery.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements This procurement provides Allen-Bradley key switches required to support control system upgrades at NASA Stennis Space Center. The hardware will be used to expand automation capabilities, replace aging equipment, and standardize on Allen-Bradley platforms for improved reliability, maintainability, and integration performance.
The items listed in this procurement include new key switches specifically selected to align with NASA control system architecture and ongoing modernization efforts.
2. Scope
• This is hardware procurement only.
• The contractor shall supply and deliver all Allen-Bradley key switches listed in this SOW.
• No installation, testing, integration, or configuration services are included.
• No additional hardware or accessories beyond what is listed shall be substituted.
3. Brand Recognition / Brand Name Justification
NASA Stennis Space Center has determined that Allen-Bradley key switches are uniquely compatible with existing sitewide control systems. The following characteristics necessitate the use of Allen-Bradley brand equipment:
• Native compatibility with installed Allen-Bradley racks and backplanes.
• Standardized control architecture used across multiple SSC test stands and facility control systems.
• Pre-engineered integration with NASA’s existing PLC codebase, communication drivers, and safety interlocks.
• Proven performance in high-reliability propulsion test environments.
• Ensures configuration control, reduces integration risk, and prevents cross-vendor incompatibilities.
Alternate vendors were evaluated but were found not to meet NASA SSC’s requirements for reliability, compatibility, and integration safety. Therefore, this procurement is brand name mandatory for Allen-Bradley components.
4. Requirements The contractor shall provide new, unused, factory-certified Allen-Bradley hardware meeting the following characteristics:
• 100% genuine Allen-Bradley products (no substitutions or refurbished parts).
• All hardware shall meet manufacturer specifications for key switch operation as applicable.
• Items must be packaged, handled, and shipped per manufacturer recommendations.
• All hardware shall be fully compatible with NASA SSC’s existing Allen-Bradley systems.
5. Deliverables The contractor shall deliver the following Allen-Bradley key switch components in the exact quantities listed below:
2 ea – 800TC-H31BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3103BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3104BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3105BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3106BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3107BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3108BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3109BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3110BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3111BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3112BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3113BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3114BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3115BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3116BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3117BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3118BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3119BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3120BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3121BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3122BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3123BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3124BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3125BF 2 ea – 800TC-H3126BF
All equipment must conform to the specific part numbers listed; no deviations or substitutions are permitted.
