About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for precision manufacturing of Inconel 718 turbine wheel and shaft components for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). MSFC requires the fabrication of micro turbine blades, turbine wheels, and shaft assemblies as test hardware for the InRoDES rotating detonation rocket engine development program's turbopump testing.
The contractor must procure stock Inconel 718 material conforming to AMS ISO 9001:2015 specifications with heat treatment per AMS 5664, then manufacture parts according to NASA-MSFC drawing MC34020-001. The work includes quality quantity one turbomachinery hardware assembly with turbine and shaft components, with additional complex turbomachinery hardware to be provided per NASA drawings. Key requirements include notifying NASA of any manufacturing errors, deviations, or nonconformances; maintaining traceability documentation of all manufacturing process steps; and conducting detailed Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection with CMMC Level 2 Certification and equipment calibration per ISO 17025 standards. The Period of Performance runs from April 2026 through September 2026. All deliverables—including machined parts, a deviation/nonconformance report, and an inspection report—must be shipped or hand-delivered to Marshall Space Flight Center, Central Receiving, Building 4631, Huntsville, Alabama 35812, Attention: Hallie Collopy.
