Statement of Work – Digital X-Ray Flat Panel Detector for Non-Destructive Evaluation
This Statement of Work (SOW) dated March 12, 2026, establishes requirements for the acquisition of a complete digital flat panel X-ray detector system for Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) applications. The system will be used to perform radiographic inspections of aluminum components and structures and must integrate with existing X-ray sources operating in the 50–140 kV range while supporting remote triggering for automated or semi-automated inspection workflows. The preferred delivery date is May 15, 2026. The vendor is required to provide all hardware, software, cables, and accessories necessary for a fully operational system upon delivery, along with comprehensive documentation and support to enable end-user operation without additional procurement.
The detector hardware must meet specific technical parameters: pixel pitch ≤ 83 microns, active area minimum 5.0" × 3.35" (127 mm × 85.1 mm), 16-bit image output, and compatibility with X-ray sources operating from 30 kV to 150 kV. The system requires an appropriate scintillator (CsI or GOS/DRZ+), a GigE Ethernet interface (preferred), a compatible power supply suitable for standard U.S. facility power (120V AC, 60 Hz), and image acquisition software with remote triggering capability and a Software Development Kit (SDK) for custom interface development. All interface cables, frame grabbers, adapters, and mounting hardware or protective enclosure must be included. Deliverables include the detector unit, power supply with cables, licensed software, SDK documentation, user manuals, interface cables, and factory test reports. The vendor must provide a minimum 1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, along with technical support during normal business hours and information on post-warranty service and calibration options. The vendor shall notify the purchasing office of any anticipated delays no later than 30 days prior to the preferred delivery date, and items must be packaged according to manufacturer-recommended standards.
