About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a NASA Office of Inspector General (OIG) organization-wide training and professional development event scheduled for June 8-12, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia.
The event will accommodate approximately 155 attendees and requires hotel lodging at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront (100 General McIntosh Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31401) for four nights (June 8-12, 2026). The hotel must provide 155 guest rooms at per diem rates with no resort or destination fees, adequate conference space configured in crescent rounds with power strips at each table to accommodate all 155 attendees for general sessions, and audio-visual services. Conference room rental is required for June 9-11, 2026. The location must have restaurants within walking distance to eliminate the need for rental cars. Training topics include communication, procurement, ethics, FOIA, artificial intelligence, and core OIG functions. Each cost center will have dedicated time to discuss mission changes, operational impacts, and emerging risks while identifying cross-cutting efficiencies given budget constraints. Approximately [amount redacted] for lodging costs will be covered by individual NASA travel cards or personal credit cards, while [amount redacted] for conference room rental and audio-visual expenses, plus [amount redacted] for morning and afternoon snacks (June 9-11), will be covered by a separate Purchase Order (PR). Travelers may bring government-furnished laptops to the event.

NASA OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL
OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT
SUITE 8U71, 300 E ST SW
WASHINGTON, D.C. 20546-0001
January 28, 2026
STATEMENT OF WORK
PR: (TBD)
Background
NASA’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) staff are spread across all regions of the continental
United States. The last time the organization convened staff in person for a structured, organization-wide training and professional development event was over twenty years ago in May of 2005. This planned in-person event is intended to provide consistent training and professional development opportunities for all OIG employees, enable direct engagement with OIG leadership, and communicate the organization’s strategic direction and priorities. Given the time elapsed since 2005, the OIG’s leadership, management, and staff members have substantially changed, and this event will ensure alignment on expectations, mission priorities, and workforce development initiatives across the organization. To facilitate the training and meetings, we require a large conference room, breakout rooms, and sufficient guestrooms to accommodate travelers from across the United States. We prefer a location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance so travelers will not require the use of rental cars.
Scope
NASA OIG will host an in-person, organization-wide training event in Savannah, Georgia, from
June 8th to the 12th, 2026. Training topics will encompass areas such as communication, procurement, ethics, FOIA, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and core OIG functions supporting audits and investigations. Each OIG cost center will have dedicated time to discuss mission changes, operational impacts, and emerging risks; and identify cross-cutting efficiencies and coordination opportunities in light of continuing budget constraints.
The planned hotel for this event is the Marriott Savannah Riverfront, 100 General McIntosh
Boulevard, Savannah, Georgia. The hotel offers a ballroom and breakout rooms which will meet our conference space requirements. There is an on-site restaurant and plentiful restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The Marriott Savannah Riverfront is offering sufficient guestrooms at the per diem rate and they do not require payment of any resort or destination fees.
Requirements

• The guest room rate must be within per diem, so .
• The conference rooms must have enough space for 155 attendees.
