Cryocooler control electronics for the EXoplanet Climate Infrared TElescope (EXCITE)

Summary:

The contractor shall provide a flight spare multi-cryocooler control electronics (MCCE) unit for the EXoplanet Climate Infrared TElescope (EXCITE) mission, and a spare main board for the same model. The identifying information of EXCITE's flight units is presented below in the "additional information" section. The flight spare units will drive

Thales LPT-9310/LPT-9310-HP pulse tube cryocoolers.

Technical requirements:

• The flight spare complete MCCE unit shall be identical to EXCITE's two flight units, which have serial numbers 001 and 002.

• The main board shall be a drop-in replacement for the main boards on any of the three complete MCCE units.

• All mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces for the flight spare units shall be identical to those of the flight units.
