About this file
This document is a NASA Shared Services Center Recommendation and Determination to Solicit from One Source form for the RockOn and RockSat student launch opportunities and workshop. NASA is seeking to sole-source the contract with an unnamed provider who has supported the RockOn workshop for the past 4 years, providing pre-workshop kits, hardware production, and critical logistical support. The total estimated contract period is 12 months after award, with the vendor responsible for assisting with the Wallops Flight Facility student hands-on workshop through the Workforce Development Team and Sounding Rocket Program. NASA justifies the sole-source selection by emphasizing the vendor's unique expertise and experience, stating that no other company can provide the same level of knowledge and collaboration required to support the undergraduate student flight opportunities and science experiment preparation for scheduled sounding rocket launches.
