About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Validation of Advanced Liner Concepts via Static Engine Test. The NASA Liner Physics Team (NASA-LPT) is seeking a contractor to fabricate and test advanced acoustic liner concepts for commercial aircraft engine noise reduction. The contractor shall build four 24-channel worm liner panels, two 30-channel worm liner doors, and two 2DOF liner doors per NASA-LPT's design specifications, validate the panels meet requirements, conduct a static engine test per NASA-LPT's test plan, and deliver the processed test data to NASA-LPT. The work shall be performed at the San Tan Test Facility in Phoenix, AZ between September 26, 2024 and December 23, 2024. This is a sole source requirement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Validation of Advanced Liner Concepts via Static Engine Test
STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The NASA Liner Physics Team (NASA-LPT) is tasked with developing advanced acoustic liner concepts to reduce the engine noise generated by commercial aircraft.
NASA-LPT is also tasked with developing analysis tools that enable us to optimize these concepts for application in aircraft engine nacelles, which supports the Advanced Air Transport Technologies (AATT) Project. The optimal way to accomplish this task is to validate these advanced liner concepts in a static engine test. NASA-LPT has previously designed parts optimized for Honeywell's AS907 engine. NASA-LPT desires to have these acoustic panels fabricated and then tested in a static engine test with the Honeywell AS907 engine. NASA-LPT will use the results to validate the design/modeling process for advanced liner concepts.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The contractor shall perform the following duties:
• Build the following panels per NASA-LPT’s design specifications:
o Four treated panels using a 24-channel worm liner.
o Two treated doors using a 30-channel worm liner.
o Two treated doors using a 2DOF liner.
• Validate that these panels meet the design requirements for static engine testing.
• Conduct static engine test per NASA-LPT test plan (supplied separately).
• Process the raw measured data to convert to engineering units.
• Deliver all processed data to NASA-LPT for analysis.
3. Place of Performance San Tan Test Facility, Phoenix, AZ
4. Period of Performance Testing shall be performed between September 26, 2024 and December 23, 2024.
