STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

Provide leadership and communication training to the Moon-to-Mars leadership team that addresses the following topics in the context of the Battle of Gettysburg:

• Position for strategic advantage

• Create effective communication within organizations

• Lead in the moment of decision

• Create compelling vision for self and others

• Team building

In-person training will be provided in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to 90 members of the Moon-to-Mars leadership team and shall include core learning modules, based on the Battle of Gettysburg, to explore different aspects of leadership, followership, and organizational dynamics.

The training shall be onsite in Gettysburg, PA and include tours of the Gettysburg battelfield site.

The contractor shall provide the meeting room, transportation to the Gettysburg battlefield from the meeting room, and transportation from the battlefield to the meeting room.

The contractors shall have experience providing Gettysburg training to NASA personnel.

The training must be executed by a team that includes a licensed Gettysburg battlefield guide.

The contractor shall provide notebooks and Gettysburg maps related to the training material.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall perform the following duties:

• Provided 2.5 days of training to 90 members of the Moon-to-Mars leadership team.

• The training must be executed by an individual or team that includes a licensed

Gettysburg battlefield guide.

• The training should include lessons on the following topics:

o Anticipatory Leadership o Transactional and Transformational Leadership o Predictable Surprises

• The training should facilitate leadership dialogue and team-building with a focus on professional perspectives and create deliver the learning via the use of historical metaphors from the Battle of Gettysburg.

• The planned content should include parallel leadership lessons from the battle of

Gettysburg that can be applied to current leadership situations.

• The training shall be onsite in Gettysburg, PA and include training modules that include field visits to various sites of the Gettysburg battelfield site as part of the planned agenda.

• The Gettysburg program should examine a variety of leadership syles and behaviors in the context of time-pressure.
