The training will be held from September 3-6, 2024, with an evening welcome/orientation session on September 3 and two full days of training on September 4-5. The vendor must have prior experience providing this type of Gettysburg-themed training to NASA personnel. The government requires the vendor to provide a meeting room and bus transportation to the Gettysburg battlefield, with appropriate presentation media and materials. No specific leadership doctrine is required, but the curriculum should relate the Battle of Gettysburg to the NASA Artemis program. Lodging and most meals will be covered under a per diem by the attendees.

Will the vendor be required to cover Food and lodging expenses for training members? And if so, which meals shall we cover? Food will be covered under a per diem by the attendees and lodging will not be included within this contract.
The RFQ states that the training shall be held from 1700hrs on the 3Sep2024- to 1730hrs on the 6Sep2024; are these times right? Or will the training start at 0800/0900? Yes. The desired plan is to have an evening welcome/orientation session on September 3 and then two full days of training on the 9/4 and 9/5. People will travel home on 9/6.
Please clarify that the vendor must have previously provided this same(Gettysburg) service to NASA personnel. This is a session with 90 senior managers at NASA and its contractors. Because of the opportunity cost of this group’s time, we are wanting to procure this training from a group with experience teaching this material to NASA personnel and tailoring the content to NASA personnel. Yes, the target content for this session is based on around the battle of Gettysburg.
Will training personnel meet at our training location, or shall we bus them to use, and if so, where will training personnel meet? Can you please provide a pickup and drop-off address or zip code? Targeting having the majority of personnel stay at the Gettysburg hotel. The provider needs to provide all of the meeting locations and the transportation.
In addition to the question below we were hoping you could provide some clarification in regards to the length of training requested. Under section 2, Characteristics, Scope, and Specs the training is listed as 2.5 days in length, however in Section 4 Period of Performance the times listed cover 3-full days (5pm 9/3 – 5:30pm 9/6). We are capable of either option and just wanted to make sure we tailor our proposal accordingly. The desired plan is to have an evening welcome/orientation session on September 3 and then two full days of training on the 9/4 and 9/5. People will travel home on 9/6.
We have a question in regards to why the SOW was changed to include “The contractors shall have experience providing Gettysburg training to NASA personnel”? This is a session with 90 senior managers at NASA and its contractors. Because of the opportunity cost of this group’s time, we are wanting to procure this training from a group with experience teaching this material to NASA personnel and tailoring the content to NASA personnel. Yes, the target content for this session is based on around the battle of Gettysburg.
The Solicitation requires the contractor provide a meeting room and bus transportation to the Gettysburg battlefield. Is it the government intention that the meeting room facility have sufficient parking for 90 pov’s? Many people will carpool, but there needs to be a plan.
What materials and presentation media does the government require in the meeting room? Appropriate for the group and subject
Is there a specific duration or times that the government requires in the meeting room? No
Is there a specific leadership doctrine required?? No. The curriculum should be based on Battle of Gettysburg and how it relates to the NASA Artemis program specifically tied to the specs included within the SOW posted on SAM.gov.
