STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) requires the purchase of SLM Solutions Selective Laser Melting SLM280 Twin System Basic Support and Service Agreement for continued support.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
Product Description Quantity
SLM Solutions Selective Laser Melting SLM280 Twin System Basic Support and Service Agreement
(SERIAL # 28.18.0043 & SERIAL # SLM2801319)
BASIC: Includes the following:
a) Telephone and email support for system and applications technology by our team of hardware, software, and applications engineers. Technical phone and email support is available on non-holiday weekdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET, excluding weekends and public holidays. Other times may be available by special arrangement.
b) Remote online access to the machine for diagnostic and inspection checks; if the customer has first agreed to an online connection and access with SLM Solutions.
c) One onsite preventative maintenance performed by authorized Company technical representatives at factory recommended maintenance intervals. Preventative maintenance procedure may be completed in conjunction with unscheduled or emergency service visits. Preventative maintenance visit per year to carry out the following standard Maintenance Checklist and Plan, including PM kit, labor, airfare, and per diem expenses for certified SLM Solutions service representatives. Any additional onsite calls and/or parts are at the standard time and material rates.
Inspect and adjust performance of optical calibration.
Inspect and calibrate mechanical devices such as all axis control, bearings, and loading equipment as well as sensor devices.
Maintenance and/or replacement of filters.
Cooling system inspection.
Check, adjust, and clean optical items such as optics, beam expander, and scanning mirrors including focus measurement and adjustment.
Install Machine Software (MCS) updates.
Computer Hardware maintenance.
Replace PM parts.
