QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

QUESTION NO. 1: My company is a US veteran owned, small business, and I specialize in providing services and support for secure facilities and have worked for oil and gas companies in Iraq, and previously Saudi Arabia. I am looking to work on DOS contracts as well. If I wanted to attend the pre-proposal meeting or send one of my team members in order to meet the prime bidders to present my company has a subcontractor, would that be possible at my own expense of course?
ANSWER: The Government appreciates the interest on the Design-Build Construction
Contract for Nairobi, Kenya Embassy Office Annex and Support Annex project. Unfortunately, only teaming partners of Prequalified Offerors are invited to attend the pre-proposal conference and site-survey.
QUESTION NO. 2: Is there a limited number to how many representatives a company can have at the above site visit?
ANSWER: Initially, the Government did not limit the number of attendees to the pre-proposal conference and site-survey. Due to the overwhelming interest the Government received and logistical constraints, a limit to five (5) attendees per Prequalified Offerors has been set to include the submission and processing of eCCs.
