Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the rate for hotels? Per man per night?

https://aoprals.state.gov/web920/per_diem.asp Please see the above website for at government negotiated prices. This will be per person. Please keep in mind that Luanda is the second most expensive city in the world and that will be taken into account during the decision process.

2. Is food reasonable priced or should we send in container?

Using the rates in the link above, I would write in the contract for M&IE per diem per person. The rate of 170$ a day will cover any expenses you may need during your teams stay. KIeep in

3. Carpet choices, color of cove base and ceiling tiles? Have any decisions been made yet? It may be best to go to a Home Depot web site where they list/show everything and select. We will be loading a container in Miami and shipping over ahead of our arrival.

It would be safe to say you could just use a quote for something like Tandus and equal quality ceiling tiles. Once the project is awarded we would then work with the bidder to determine an exact preference. It would be good to quote 10% extra materials for stock on our end.

4. Is there any chance we could get several pictures of both projects emailed to us here? This will greatly help us be better prepared.

Once the contract is awarded, we will then provide the contractor with everything they need. Please be aware that we choose the most technically acceptable, lowest bid, not necessarily based solely on lowest quote.

5. How fast do you wish us to go? I estimate we can easily complete both projects in a 2 week period.

That time frame is acceptable.
