About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for mining rough products to be sold at Ohio State Park campgrounds, specifically for the Sandy Creek Mining Co sluices at Mohican State Park in Loudonville, Ohio. The RFQ solicits bids for seven different mining rough product packages, including Arrowhead Find, Prospector, Mother Lode, Pay Dirt, Fossil Find, Seashell Find, and Emerald Strike, ranging from 2 to 10 pounds in weight and containing various collectible items like gemstones, fossils, arrowheads, and shark teeth. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with an initial term through June 30, 2027, and an optional 2-year renewal through June 30, 2029.
The pricing terms allow for potential economic price adjustments during the contract renewal, contingent upon documented increases in material/service costs. Contractors must submit detailed documentation supporting any proposed price changes, including comparisons of original and adjusted pricing. Invoices must be submitted directly to Ohio Shared Services, with specific formatting requirements including the purchase order number, supplier details, itemized services, and line charges. The solicitation encourages potential bidders to contact the Park Manager, Jennifer Roar, prior to submitting a bid response, and emphasizes that failure to familiarize oneself with the facility and bid requirements will not be grounds for contract release.
