About this file

This is a sample subcontract template from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) for the procurement of CryoTEM instruments. The document outlines the standard subcontract structure and requirements for vendors providing equipment to LBNL under Department of Energy prime contract DE-AC02-05CH11231.

The template includes sections covering delivery requirements, milestone-based payments, insurance requirements ($1M per occurrence for general/auto liability), shipping terms (DPU to Berkeley, CA), and site access procedures for contractor personnel. Key administrative requirements include submission of technical data for approval, preliminary inspections, environmentally preferable product requirements, and e-waste recycling compliance. While specific pricing, delivery dates, and equipment specifications are marked as TBD throughout the template, it appears designed to support the related federal contract opportunity for Cryo-Electron Microscopy instruments at LBNL's Molecular Foundry facility.
