About this file

This is a Performance Bond document applicable to the City of Meriden's gymnasium floor replacement project at Casimir Pulaski Elementary School in Connecticut. The bond secures a contractor's obligation to complete the removal and replacement of the gymnasium floor, including disposal of existing flooring materials and installation of new flooring. The project must commence on or after June 29, 2026, and be completed no later than August 14, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 17 at 10:00 AM, where the project timeline may be discussed and adjusted. The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining dumpsters for disposal of flooring material throughout the project duration.

The Performance Bond establishes the financial guarantee amount (to be specified) that binds the contractor and surety jointly and severally to the City of Meriden as obligee. The surety agrees to either complete the contract in accordance with its terms and conditions or obtain bids for contract completion and arrange performance by the lowest responsible bidder. The bond includes a two-year statute of limitations from the date final payment is due, and no right of action accrues to any party other than the Owner or its successors. The bond amount, specific pricing terms, and funding source are not detailed in this sample document and would be finalized in the actual contract agreement.
