About this file

This document is a sample General Services Contract template for the City of Rosenberg, Texas, designed to establish terms and conditions for independent contractors providing operational services to the city. The contract is a flexible framework that can be customized for various service needs, with placeholders for specific details such as contractor name, service description, contract amount, and duration. The template allows for one-time or term contracts, with the city retaining sole discretion to determine project completion and the ability to extend timelines due to factors like bad weather.

The contract includes comprehensive provisions covering insurance requirements, with detailed specifications for worker's compensation, employer's liability, general liability, and automobile insurance. Contractors must provide insurance certificates with minimum coverage limits, such as $500,000 per occurrence for general liability and bodily injury. The document also includes several mandatory verifications for contractors, including non-discrimination against firearm industries, anti-boycott provisions for energy companies and Israel, and confirmation of not engaging with foreign terrorist organizations. Additional unique requirements include a certification that the contractor will not require COVID-19 vaccination documentation from customers, reflecting recent Texas legislative mandates.
