About this file

The document is a sample contract between the Charter Township of Brighton, Michigan, and an unnamed contractor for drywall installation services. The contract stems from RFP #25-11, which solicited proposals for drywall installation in storage rooms. The contract will commence upon signing by both parties and terminate after all deliverables are received and the equipment warranty period ends. The Township reserves the right to terminate the contract with 14 days written notice, and the contractor cannot begin work without prior Township permission.

The contract does not specify the exact pricing, leaving a blank space for the total service charge, but indicates payment will be made only after work is completed and accepted, with a net 45-day payment term. The contractor is required to maintain specified insurance coverages and abide by all provisions in the original Request for Proposal. The contract is governed by Michigan state law and includes provisions for indemnification, with the contractor agreeing to hold the Township harmless from any liability arising from their services during the contract term.
