About this file
The document is an Official Primary Ballot for the August 13, 2024 partisan election in various jurisdictions within Dane County, Wisconsin, including towns like Albion, Dunkirk, Dunn, Pleasant Springs, and Rutland, as well as villages and cities such as Brooklyn, McFarland, Fitchburg, and Stoughton. The ballot provides voters with options to participate in primary elections for multiple political parties (Democratic, Republican, Constitution, Libertarian, and Wisconsin Green), with candidates for various offices including United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, Representative to the Assembly, District Attorney, County Clerk, County Treasurer, and Register of Deeds.
The ballot also includes two state referendum questions related to constitutional amendments: the first concerning the legislature's power to delegate appropriation authority, and the second addressing the governor's ability to allocate federal moneys without legislative approval. Additionally, there is a nonpartisan section for County Executive candidates, featuring four contenders. Voters are provided detailed instructions on how to properly mark their ballots, choose a party primary, and cast votes for individual candidates, with clear guidance on voting procedures and restrictions to ensure valid ballot submission.
