About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base for market research regarding Victron MultiPlus 2000VA inverter-charger units (Part Number: PMP122200102). The RFI is issued for planning purposes to identify potential sources and determine appropriate contract strategies prior to formal solicitation. Responses are required by Tuesday, May 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, submitted electronically to Rachel Tilley at rachel.tilley.1@us.af.mil.
The salient characteristics document describes the Victron MultiPlus 2000VA as a high-performance inverter-charger unit providing 2000VA (1600W) continuous true sine wave AC power with an 80A adaptive battery charger optimized for 12V battery banks. Key capabilities include an automatic 32A transfer switch providing UPS functionality, PowerAssist technology to supplement AC sources and prevent overloads, PowerControl to limit charger input, and parallel operation capability for up to six units. The unit features a VE.Bus port for remote monitoring integration, a programmable relay for generator control, built-in safety protections, and a durable steel chassis suitable for harsh marine and mobile environments. The government is requesting vendors to provide company information, business classification, relevant small business certifications, timeframe for RFP response, transition timeline from award to service start, rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing for each unit, and any recommendations for requirement improvement. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
