MEMORANDUM FOR 673 CONS/LGCC
FROM: 3 MXS/MXMTW
SUBJECT: Requirement for Bauer Wheel Assembly Torque System
1. The purpose of this memorandum is to document the salient characteristics which will be used in the solicitation for this requirement. The Bauer Wheel Assembly Torque System provides the assemble and disassemble aircraft wheel assemblies. It also has the capability to track assemblies by serial number which is a requirement to do.
2. Minimum Specifications:
• Torque: Have a range between 30 Ft Lbs and 200 Ft Lbs
• Assemble aircraft wheels
• Disassemble aircraft wheels
• Be able to track wheel builds by serial number
• Be compatible with existing wheel lifting equipment
• Raise and lower based on wheel height
• Adjust in width based on wheel size from 7.5” to 17”
