Statement of Requirements Project: Procurement of a Texture Analyzer USDA-ARS, Southeast Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory (SEFTNRL) 21 Dunbar, Rd Byron, GA 31008
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: SEFTNRL requires the delivery of a Texture Analyzer that meets or exceeds the specifications
2.0 Background: New research protocol requires the acquisition of a texture analyzer to enhance capabilities in evaluating the textural properties of various materials. This equipment will be used to measure parameters such as hardness, cohesiveness, adhesiveness, springiness, and fracturability of materials including but not limited to food products, pharmaceuticals, and polymers. The texture analyzer should offer high precision, a wide range of test modes, user-friendly software, and compatibility with multiple probe and fixture types to accommodate diverse testing requirements. This purchase aims to support our ongoing research, quality control processes, and product development initiatives.
