About this file

This document outlines requirements for two fourth order harmonic generators. The U.S. Army is seeking efficient conversion of wavelengths between 190 to 210 nanometers and 210 to 230 nanometers for two titanium sapphire lasers operating at 76 megahertz and centered at 800 and 795 nanometers. Delivery of the two systems is required within 12 weeks to the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, Maryland. One system must optimize wavelengths from 210 to 230 nanometers with a 2o+2o non-linear beam. Both systems must provide access to and output the third, second, and depleted first order beams to efficiently generate above 0.1% for the specified input wavelengths. This opportunity is solicited under solicitation number W911QX-23-Q-0143 by the Army Contracting Command for the Department of the Army Materiel Command.

Technical Point of Contact (TPOC)

The Contractor shall provide the Government with quantity two (2) fourth order harmonic generators for use with Government owned pulsed Titanium:Sapphire laser systems. The Contractor shall also provide on site installation services of the equipment that is listed in the quote. The Government requires the systems to provide efficient conversion to wavelengths in the 190 to 210 nanometer (nm) range. It is expected that:

• The systems will utalise a 3ω+ω non-linear process (where ω is the fundamental or input beam central wavelength) to generate the output light from 190 nm to 210 nm for input light from 760 nm to 840 nm with at least 0.1% efficiency.

• The system will provide access to and output the 3ω beam.

• The system will provide access to and output the 2ω beam.

• The system will provide access to and output the the depleted 1ω beam.

• For efficient generation (at least 4%) of wavelengths between 210 nm to 230 nm, the system will also provide a 2ω+2ω non-linear beam.

• One system will be optimized for use with a Government owned Spectra-Physics

Ti:Sapphire Tsunami laser operating at 76 megahertz (MHz), femtosecond mode, with 12 nm bandwidth centered at 800 nm and a measured continuous wave (cw) power of 2.5 watts (W).

• The other system will be optimized for use with a Government owned Coherent Inc. REGA9000 regeneratively amplified Ti:Sapphire laser operating at 76 MHz, femtosecond mode, with 10 nm bandwidth centered at 795 nm and a measured cw power of 1.4 W.

Delivery is required within 12 weeks after contract is awarded, and delivery is to DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, Receiving BLDG 102, 2800 Powder Mill Road, Adelphi, MD 20783.
