About this file
This document outlines technical requirements for a federal contract to provide custom gears, shafts, bearings, and related components. The contractor shall design and manufacture gear systems to meet specific load and bearing requirements, deliver all items to the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, and ensure at least 2500 hours of reliable bearing life. The contractor must provide two sets each of 24 gears across 12 mesh pairs, 18 shafts, and 36 bearings to satisfy the contract. The solicitation was issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command as a small business set-aside to meet these custom component requirements.
