About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics document outlining specifications for a counter-drone detection and defeat system procurement by the 19th Space Force Squadron (19 SFS).
The procurement includes three items: (1) one Drone Shield Sentry-X MK2 System, a portable or stationary device capable of detecting and defeating Commercial Off-the-Shelf drones; (2) one Drone Shield Expeditionary Tripod Kit for fixed-site configuration; and (3) certified instructor training for up to four personnel over two days. The Sentry-X MK2 must be new production (not rebuilt), operable in temperatures from -4°F to 122°F with IP67 waterproofing/dust proofing, deployable by two personnel, and capable of detecting drones at least four miles away in 360-degree coverage. The system must jam GNSS signals, spoof drone signals, and engage multiple drones simultaneously. All components must be housed in hard cases with user manuals, tooling, and accessories included for immediate deployment. The system requires one year of technical support and warranty covering defects and component failures, with manufacturer-covered shipping for replacements. Documentation must be provided in English with an operator's manual fitting inside the storage case. The Tripod Kit must enable tool-less assembly requiring two or fewer personnel, withstand temperatures of 90-115°F with 60-100% humidity, and integrate with existing C-sUAS equipment. Training must cover device operation, software integration, setup, power-on procedures, deployment during drone incursion incidents, and storage procedures. Contractor-provided training materials must assist the Wing Program Manager in training future operators. The procurement prohibits systems requiring connection to Chinese company DJI servers and requires FCC compliance for all hardware.
