About this file

This document contains the Salient Characteristics for replacement Cutler HPAC Air Receiver Tanks. The key details are:

The tanks must be constructed of minimum .375" SA-612 steel, with a Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) of 400 PSIG at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and a Minimum Design Metal Temperature (MDMT) of -20 degrees Fahrenheit at 400 PSIG. The tanks must meet ASME Section VII Div. 1, 2017 and HLW requirements, with spot liquid soap X-ray and a hydrostatic test to 520 PSIG minimum. The tank capacity is 400 gallons, with an unpainted interior and a rust preventative primer exterior finish. The configuration and connection port locations must be determined by a contractor site visit to the existing tanks at B103 NCTSHR Det Cutler, which is a critical requirement. Each tank must be serialized and provided with as-built documentation, testing results, and warranty information.

The Salient Characteristics are associated with a related federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number N7027224Q0013, for HPAC Air Receiver Tank Replacements, issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command. The solicitation includes an RFQ, PWS, approximate measurements, Salient Characteristics, and images.
