Bunk beds must be stackable, accommodate 38"W x 80"L mattresses, and have steel head/foot frames. Mattresses must be 9" thick, extra firm, with 260 innerspring coils, and meet specific technical standards including flame retardancy, antimicrobial properties, and a 5-year warranty. Five-drawer chests must be 30-36"W x 22-24"D x 42-50"H, have metal drawer pulls, and include a locking mechanism. All items must be GSA schedule contract items, manufactured in a Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant country, and meet stringent quality and durability standards.
