Salient Characteristics
Requirement:
Ellsworth AFB has a requirement for a Portable remote/cloud-based Air Traffic Controller Training Simulator that will enable 24/7 training capabilities. The system must meet the following salient characteristics:
1. Need Radar training simulator that emulates Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS).
2. Simulator must run on windows platform and be accessible to 10 number students via COTS portable devices such as iPad or MS Surface Pro.
3. Simulator must use current software to build/generate scenarios.
4. Simulator must be tailored to local Ellsworth/Minot Phraseology
5. Simulator must use Voice Recognition.
6. Simulator must include a part task/phraseology trainer for general and specific local knowledge items.
7. System must come with an on-site training class.
8. System must have an easy-to-use administration/management software program that has appropriate permission levels for students, instructors and administrators.
9. Must come with aircraft & airspace databases for Ellsworth and Minot AFB.
10. System must come with a one year tech support.
11. System must provide detailed student reports that can be viewed by student or instructor with the ability to email results or display/print as pdf.
12. System is needed for training use immediately. System must be an existing and proven system.
System must not be "engineered" from scratch.
