About this file
This document is a Vendor Questions and Answers summary for the State of Michigan's Saginaw Concrete and Brick Replacement Project (RFP 2000000001185). The project involves concrete and brick repair work at a state facility, with a site visit conducted on March 5, 2020. Key project details include the availability of over 1,600 bricks from Belding Brick for repairs, pavers for the front south side of the building, broken marble caps on retaining walls with replacements available on site, and handrails requiring safety improvements on ADA ramps. The scope emphasizes that all brick work is repair-oriented rather than complete removal and rebuild, though contractors may recommend full reconstruction if necessary with detailed justification. Additional work includes caulk joint repairs on retaining wall tops and careful attention to sprinkler lines in landscaped areas, with contractors responsible for any damage caused.
Bidders are instructed to provide detailed pricing breakdowns by project section and submit their best pricing along with complete reasoning for any work beyond the listed scope. No vendor questions were received via email prior to the question and answer period, indicating all clarifications were provided during the site visit. The document does not specify contract award dates, renewal options, or specific funding amounts and sources.
