About this file
This solicitation is for connecting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components to the building automation system at the VA St. Louis Health Care System facilities in Buildings 53 and 3. The scope of work involves upgrading existing direct digital controls and pneumatic systems with new electronic sensors, actuators, and valves. It also requires furnishing and installing new controllers and thermostats for air handling units, fan coil units, terminal units, radiant panels, and reheat coils. The contractor will integrate the controls into the existing Metasys facility management system and run new network cabling. The base bid is for all work at a period of performance of 330 calendar days. There are also alternate bid items that remove certain scope items from Building 53 to obtain separate pricing. The solicitation closes on an unspecified date and will be awarded on a best value basis considering technical approach, past performance, and price.
