About this file
This document provides project specifications for a roof replacement project at a VA medical center. The project involves a full tear-off of existing roof systems on two buildings and installation of a new fluid-applied membrane roofing system incorporating insulation, a base ply sheet, and polyurethane roof coating. The specifications define requirements for roof tear-off, deck preparation, insulation, flashing, and application of the new membrane. The related federal contract opportunity is a request for SF330 qualifications from architecture and engineering firms for design services on the roof replacement and solar upgrade project. The solicitation is a full and open competition being conducted by the VA Veterans Health Administration VISN 1 to design and engineer the roof replacement and addition of solar panels.
