Project 531-23-105, Upgrade HVAC B.85 at VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. AESUS Design Construction Documents dated February 2nd, 2024. Comment by Draszt, Ty D.: What contract? There is no reference to anything other than a date. The statement is also not needed as it is redundant, it already states the contractor shall complete the intent of the project in strict accordance...

Specific Tasks

a. Add a redundant, 100-ton, air-cooled chiller to Building 85. The chiller will be placed on the roof and connected to the existing chilled water system that is currently connected with two air cooled chillers and a dry cooler. Appropriate structural supports, valving and controls are to be included in the design. It will also add a DX redundant cooling system to the Lab in Building 85. Work includes routing of piping and conduits and modifications to roofing including curbing/supports. The Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a Hospital First! Any and all construction activities shall be secondary to the mission of the Medical Center. This means that some activities shall only be performed outside of normal business hours, may be curtailed if they interfere with normal activities, and may be delayed for other times or conditions. Other potential issues include noise pollution; noxious fumes; and vibrations.

SITE WORK

Most work will occur on rooftop of B.85. Access is through the stairwell access to roof. Work in Lab will need to be highly coordinated with COR as this is a 24/7 lab. Comment by Draszt, Ty D.: If things are to be in strict accordance with the SOW then this section needs to be specific to what rooftop, stairwell, etc. especially VHA staff; VHA staff are nurses, docs, etc. so this needs to be outlined in detail.

COORDINATION OF WORK

If any questions or concerns arise, the Contractor shall coordinate with the COR for direction. Any and all disruptions to the normal functions of the BVAMC (road closures, utility connections, etc.) shall be brought to the attention of the COR at least 48 hrs before work.
