About this file

This document contains technical specifications for a 13-foot Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) for the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). The specifications detail a marine vessel designed for transport, patrol, and utility operations, with precise requirements for hull and tube construction, performance, and accessories. Key technical specifications include a boat length of 12.8 to 13.2 feet, Hypalon tube material with minimum three independent air chambers, marine-grade fiberglass hull, and capacity for four adults with a minimum payload of 900 lbs.

The RIB requires a 20-30 HP electric start engine, center console steering, and must operate in both saltwater and freshwater environments. Additional mandatory features include stainless steel D-rings, heavy-duty grab handles, a bow storage locker, and a galvanized 1000 lb bunk trailer. Compliance with ISO 6185-3 and ABYC standards is required, and the deliverables include the boat, owner's manual, warranty documentation, air pump, repair kit, oars/paddles, and certification of conformity. The boat is intended for Environmental Quality Incentive Program Oyster Reef Initiative and subaqueous soil survey operations in coastal restoration work.
