About this file

This document is a solicitation for a state and local dark fiber construction contract issued by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism (ADPHT). The contract will cover the installation of dark fiber infrastructure at various state parks across Arkansas, including Bull Shoals-White River, Lake Catherine, Devils Den, Lake Chicot, Lake Fort Smith, Lake Ouachita, Millwood, Mount Magazine, Mount Nebo, Petit Jean, Queen Wilhelmina, Village Creek, White Oak Lake, Withrow Springs, Woolly Hollow, Moro Bay, and Cane Creek State Parks. The solicitation requests bids for the installation of approximately 6-strand single mode fiber at each park location, with bidders providing costs for both aerial and buried fiber options. Bids are due on a specific date, and the contract is expected to have an initial 48-month term.

The solicitation provides detailed specifications for the fiber installations at each state park, including the specific locations, fiber quantities, and other requirements. Pricing is requested on a per-park basis, with the award to be made to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest average cost for aerial and buried fiber. The contract will be funded through state park operational budgets, and the successful contractor may have the opportunity to provide additional fiber services through separately priced options at each location.
