RFP No. RFX-2020-10287

12/1/20

SUBJECT: Amendment 1 to Requests for Proposal (RFP) No. RFX-2020-10287, entitled “2022

Collegiate Wind Competition”

Questions and Responses:

Q1. In section 6.1 of the RFP, the offeror is asked to show how the content is integrated into the student’s educational experience. Should the offer list existing programs/organizations/research that already exists at the Offeror’s location and do the students on the team have to be involved in these programs for them to be listed?

R1. It is encouraged that the offeror include existing programs/organizations/research as well as those that will be inspired by involvement in the Collegiate Competition. The students on the team need not be involved in these programs as it is not expected that the offeror will have pulled together a team prior to proposal submittal.

Q2. In the second bullet of section 1 of the RFP regarding commitment to develop a wind energy curricula and multi-year wind education. Is this about the Offeror’s commitment to create wind energy educational content or does this require any commitment from the students?

R2. Reviewers would like to hear if involvement in the Collegiate Competition would allow for development of wind energy educational programs and/or content or broadening of existing programs. The objective of the CWC is workforce development which is anchored in the broadening of programs that teach wind energy to the future wind energy workforce. There is no required commitment from the students as it is not expected that the offeror will have pulled together a team prior to proposal submittal.

Q3. Please explain what a multi-year wind education is.

R3. Multi-year wind education is an opportunity for students to be exposed to wind energy education in some way across multiple years.
