About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Response (RFR) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for Assistive Technology Services. The amendment establishes that the RFR includes the provision of assistive technology services provided as Reasonable Accommodations for agency employees. Services related to Reasonable Accommodations will be carried out through a separate Master Agreement with any and all providers qualified under this RFR. Referrals for services provided as Reasonable Accommodations for agency employees may be handled by agency Human Resources staff, and the referral, authorization, and payment processes may differ from that used for client services. Services that are 'individually authorized' by MRC HR staff for specific employees will be arranged by MRC HR, and MRC may negotiate the cost for each engagement or select from a list of fixed price services provided by the vendor. Payments will be made against a Master Agreement, but establishment of this Master Agreement is no assurance of the level of services that a provider may be authorized to provide.
The related state and local contract opportunity is named "MRC AT 4-2020 - Assistive Technology Services" and is issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. No additional details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient information are provided in the given document.

MRC AT 4-2020: Assistive Technology Services
RFR Amendment 3/1/21
This amendment is to establish that this RFR includes the provision of assistive technology services provided as Reasonable Accommodations for agency employees. Reasonable Accommodation services may include all those described in this RFR, and will identify the Assistive Technology or other services needed to enable the employee to perform the essential functions of their job.
Services related to Reasonable Accommodations will be carried out through a separate Master Agreement with any and all providers qualified under this RFR. Because this is an open procurement, any providers qualifying in the future under this RFR will be added to the Master Agreements for both Individualized Client services and Reasonable Accommodation services for employees. Referrals for services provided as Reasonable Accommodations for agency employees may be handled by agency Human Resources staff, outside the Independent Living & Assistive Technology department, and the referral, authorization and payment processes may differ from that used for client services.
Services that are ‘individually authorized’ by MRC HR staff for specific employees will be arranged by MRC HR. MRC may negotiate the cost for each engagement, or may select from a list of fixed price services provided by the vendor. Payments will be made against a Master Agreement. Establishment of this Master Agreement is no assurance of the level of services that a provider may be authorized to provide.
To initiate services, MRC HR will issue an authorization, which may require the provider’s signature. No services for MRC employees should commence without authorization from MRC HR. Any direct requests for services, whether from employees or their direct supervisors or Area Directors, should be referred to MRC HR.
