About this file
The document is a Q&A for Request for Response (RFR) 232527 issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) for professional writing and editing services. The RFR is open only to individuals or single-member LLCs, not organizations. The services requested are for grant and public health writing and editing, and do not include language services such as translation or interpretation. The RFR states that DPH will not be able to view the files until after submission through COMMBUYS, and will reach out to vendors if any documents are incomplete.
The contract opportunity is only open to individuals or single-member LLCs, not organizations employing multiple professional writers. Pricing terms, set asides, funding requirements, and other salient details are not included in the Q&A document.

RFR 232527 The Department of Public Health Writing and Editing RFR
Q and A received as of 6 13 22
Q: Is there a way for me to know if all my documentation is correctly submitted?
A: DPH will not be able to view the files until after submission via COMMBUYS to the bid. Once submitted, DPH will reach out to vendors if there should be incomplete documents that would be needed to complete the review and contract process.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) seeks individuals for professional writing and editing services related to Public Health. Only individuals or individuals operating as a sole proprietorship, or single-member LLC are eligible to apply to this RFR.
Q: Does the highlighted section above mean that only those individuals or individuals operating as a sole proprietorship, or single-member LLC can provide the professional writing and editing services as well?
A: Yes
Q: We are a single-owner LLC, and our organization employs multiple professional writers. Would they be able to contribute to the work if we were awarded a contract, or would only the individual operating as a single-member LLC?
A: Only individuals or individuals operating as an LLC are eligible to apply. Not organizations.
Q: I just wanted to confirm that this is primarily for grant and public health writing/editing, and NOT for language services (translation or interpretation). I did not see any translation or interpretation services noted in the RFR but wanted to double check.
A: PRF75: Foreign Language Interpretation and Translation Services. You are correct, this NOT for language services (translation or interpretation).
