Amendment 001 Questions & Answers NIH Clinical Center Wolff Conference Center Audio Video Telepresence Upgrade

Q-1 Will there be a site visit? If so, when and how do we RSVP?

A-1 Due to scheduling restraints, NIAID will not be offering a site visit. Please note the following addition for RFQ “Attachment 3 – Wolff Conference Room 3_25_16 AV Conduit Locations”: An additional 4 gang AV box will be installed at the CAM location at outlet height for a future podium location.

Q-2 Please elaborate on the following item. Is this a Request for Vaddio Conference Bridge interface?

KVM Switch for Mac/Windows to share camera and inputs

A-2 KVM Switch is an abbreviation for “Keyboard, video and mouse”. It is a piece of hardware that allows a user to control multiple computers (in NIAID’s case there’s 2: a PC and Mac) from a single set of keyboards, video monitors and mice. For this AV install, USB is also required to be “switched” between the two computer interfaces. The KVM switch works so that both the PC and the MAC will have full use of the room camera and room microphone audio.
