Items clarified during the tour:
1) Replacement of the 3rd "mini" unit will not part of the RFQ.
2) We will provide pictures of each unit to be replaced (including tags with model information), the attic, electrical panels, and anything else deemed necessary.
3) The due date for bids will be extended to the 29th of April.
Q&A:
1) Who will be responsible for patching up holes upon removal of the vents?
Contractor
2) Will FCI Safford be responsible for providing roll off of demolition debris?
No, contractor will haul off.
3) Does FCI Safford want any of the material or units salvaged?
No
4) Can holes be cut in the drywall between the classrooms?
Yes
5) Does the institution prefer hard or soft ducting?
Flex duct max is 6 feet. Everything else should be hard duct.
6) Can the currently existing ductwork be re-used for this project?
No, remove and replace.
7) Would FCI Safford be willing to consider installing smaller units for each classroom?
No, bid as shown in proposal.
8) How does FCI Safford currently monitor classroom temperatures?
Thermostats. Each room is not monitored separately.
9) How will Building Management system be tied in?
This system is currently tied to the BMS. Contractor responsible for tying in new systems.
