Additional Information about the Well

The depth of the well is approximately 1200 feet. The well was dug in 1983 and has been in use since then as one of two primary sources of water for FCI Phoenix.

The pump is located at a depth of approximately 470 feet.

The fence around the well may be removed to gain access to the well to pull the pump. The fence must be standing when the job is complete. The panels are not set in concrete.

Water flow: The water flows from the well to the potable water treatment plant and then to the 500,000-gallon above-ground tank. The dimensions of the tank are 52’W x 32’ H. Static pressure is 50 PSI.

The specifications of the existing motor:

Manufacturer: GE Model No.: 5K6255XL529A Serial No.: BXJ229298

60 HP

460/230 Volt 3 Phase

The existing motor was rebuilt in 2003. A new bowl assembly and sounding tube were installed at that time. The well was brushed, bailed, and cleaned utilizing a dry ice treatment.
