I. General Questions
Q1. Are the Getinge 8666 washers new or are they original units? It appears that NIAID posted an RFQ for new units about a year ago.
A1: The Getinge 8666 washers are original units located in Building 33.
Q2. Has this contract been awarded before? If so, what was the awarded amount?
A2: Yes, this is a follow-on requirement to PO 75N93022P00978. The total amount of the prior contract was $181,000.00 but does not necessarily reflect the same equipment to be covered under this acquisition.
Q3. Are parts included or are all parts quoted/billed on top of the contract cost?
A3: Parts are to be included in the Firm Fixed Price, with the exception of the following major components: large pumps and motors (3 Horse Power or greater), electronic dampers, steam coils, heat exchangers, temperature recorders, and control panel (electromechanical, microprocessor).
Q4. Regarding the SOW, can you please clarify what parts need to be included in the PM pricing?
A4: Replacement parts and materials furnished under the resulting award will be provided at no additional cost to the Government, with the exception of the following major components: large pumps and motors (3 Horse Power or greater), electronic dampers, steam coils, heat exchangers, temperature recorders, and control panel (electromechanical, microprocessor). Prior to the replacement of any of these major components, the contractor will submit a written estimate to the Project Officer or their Alternate. The purchase of major components is not authorized under the resulting award and may be purchased separately through another purchase mechanism.
Q5. Can you please clarify if the emergency service visits are included in the contract price?
A5: Yes, the emergency service visits are to be included in the Firm Fixed Price.
