Amendment 0001

RFQ-ISS-34300201-21-004

Structured Cabling Services in Parkersburg, WV United States Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service

In response to questions received from potential offerors, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service hereby releases Amendment 0001 to RFQ-ISS-34300201-21-004, Structured Cabling Services in Parkersburg, WV. The questions received and the Government’s responses are shown below;

potential offerors shall read both the questions and the answers.

Potential offeror question: Has this contract been fulfilled for the past several years by a man named Joe?

Government response: The incumbent contractor is Cable Plus.

Potential offeror question: Section 3 – Response Times states “The Contractor shall report to the COR daily by 8:00 am EST except Federal holidays to discuss upcoming projects and complete scheduled adds, moves and changes.”. Is it the intent that support under this contract will be minimum one technician full time with additional support as needed?

Government response: Requests for cabling are received on a daily basis. The need for the contractor to report each day by 8:00am EST is to ensure that any emergency requests can be addressed and worked promptly. The contractor may contact the COR via telephone or email for any new work assignments that may be required for that day. There may be times when there will not be any new cabling tasks to be performed.

Potential offeror question: Is there an existing contract in place or previous contract this new solicitation is replacing? If so, can you please provide the contract number and costs incurred per ordering period?

Government response: The existing contract is 2033H618C00004. Costs incurred are $43,648.00 for the base period, $39,924.00 for option period 1 and $101,386.00 for option period 2.

Potential offeror question: Will these be a 40 hour work week or as needed basis?

Government response: Cabling tasks are on an as needed basis and will vary based upon the current cabling projects. They do not always require a 40-hour work week.

Potential offeror question: Will you be needing 1 or more of each Electrician, TELECOMMUNICATIONS MECHANIC I and TELECOMMUNICATIONS MECHANIC II?

Government response: In the past, most cabling tasks have only required one each of the Telecommunications Mechanic I and one Telecommunications Mechanic II.

The Government wishes to thank all potential offerors for their interest in this RFQ, and the Government looks forward to receiving offeror quotations.
