About this file

This document contains questions and responses related to a solicitation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the procurement of an Atomic Force Microscopy system coupled with photothermal infrared imaging capabilities for nanoscopic infrared imaging. The solicitation, numbered RFQ-FDA-2021-1238670, has a response deadline of March 1, 2021. Evaluation will be based on a lowest price technically acceptable basis. While features such as enabling future upgrades are potentially valuable, they will not be weighted heavily in evaluation as their benefits are difficult to assess. 1. Iv. How relevant are features, for example easy future upgrades to advanced AFM techniques, from which we think the system can hugely benefit? Response: Features such as “easy future upgrades to advanced AFM techniques”, while potentially valuable, are very difficult to assess and evaluate and thus wouldn’t be considered as, of high relevance.
