Fayetteville, NC—RFQ‐CTS‐001‐18
Question 2
1. Where are inmates housed in relation to Crisis Intervention?
Ordinarily, the inmate would be placed in an in‐patient facility, if they are deemed suicidal and/or homicidal by a mental health professional.
2. Would staff come to a designated place (for example, hospital) to provide emergency service or would the contractor’s office be the expected place of service in case of a crisis?
The crisis intervention may or may not start with the Contractor and then care would be transferred to an in‐patient facility.
3. Are inmates to be picked up at a single designated place daily?
The Contractor would not transport inmates to treatment. Inmates will use public transportation, typically from the Residential Reentry Center.
4. Does the present statute allow for a multi‐year (example, a five year contract with five year option) contract for planning purposes? This opportunity is for one base year and nine option years. If all option years are exercised, the contract will last ten years.
5. Does the contracting officer anticipate extending the closing date of this RFQ beyond July 7, 2017? There are no plans to extend the closing date at this time.
6. Is this an existing contract presently operated by federal government or by an incumbent contractor? There is an existing contract for this location, which is handled by a contractor.
7. For my clarity, are the participants both male and female inmates? Inmates may be male or female.
