About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation RFQ-26-04855 addressing technical specifications and ordering expectations for a product requiring specific box dimensions and filter positions.

The government requires a Base Quantity of 800 bundles with delivery beginning no later than 30 days after receipt of order (ARO), with fulfillment potentially spanning multiple deliveries. An Option Quantity will be ordered after the initial 800 bundles are depleted, expected within 12 calendar months of the original award. Box dimensions and filter positions are mandatory requirements with no acceptable alternatives; two vendor proposals featuring ShipSafe (17" L x 11" W x 7.3" H) and MiniShip (16" L x 9.8" W x 6" H) were both deemed not technically acceptable. The required filter frame dimensions are 734mm x 415mm x 3125mm, confirmed in millimeters despite vendor concerns that the 3125mm depth specification may represent a typographical error inconsistent with a 0.030 thickness frame. The government reaffirmed this dimension specification in its final response and rejected alternative proposals for longer-lasting, reusable autoclavable boxes, directing all bidders to propose products meeting the stated solicitation requirements.

Solicitation RFQ-26-04855 Questions and Answers

1. Question: Can you advise – how often is this likely to be ordered? E.g. Total / year?

1. Answer: We would order/expect the Base Quantity (800 bundles) up front, even if fulfillment requires multiple deliveries, with delivery beginning no later than 30 days ARO. 2. Question: Are the sizes and filter positions a must have?

2. Answer: The solicitation stated box dimensions and filter positions are a requirement/”must-have”.

3. Question: Can our alternative – and longer lasting, re-usable Autoclavable boxes oƯer a benefit to the users?

3. Answer: No. Please propose a product that meets solicitation requirements.

4. Question: ShipSafe – detail here. Dimensions: 17” L x 11” W x 7.3” H

4. Answer: Not Technically Acceptable.

5. Question: MiniShip – detail here. Dimensions: 16” L x 9.8” W x 6” H

5. Answer: Not Technically Acceptable.

6. Question: Could you please confirm the units for these figures (e.g., mm or inches)?

6. Answer: The required filter frame size is referenced in millimeters, and should be interpreted as 734mm x 415mm x 3125mm.

7. Question: Specifically, regarding the value "3125," we believe this may be a typo for

.3125 or a similar decimal, as 3125 would be inconsistent with a frame of 0.030 thickness.

7. Answer: 3125mm is the filter frame dimension that we require.

8. Question: Could you please provide the specific measurements or a corrected dimension for the filter frame?

8. Answer: 734mm x 415mm x 3125mm
