About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training for the procurement of Type II NH Forestry Fire Hose. The RFQ seeks quotes for 10 units of 1.5-inch hose and 10 units of 1-inch hose, each in 100-foot sections. The hose must meet the U.S. Forest Service Standard 5100-187 for Type II construction and have NH (National Hose) type threads. Quoted prices must be held firm for 30 days, and the estimated delivery date is contingent on a purchase order being issued by November 23, 2021. The contract opportunity is applicable to the jurisdictions of Marion County and the City of Salem, Oregon.

The RFQ allows for bids on alternate products that meet or exceed the specified requirements, and the agency will determine if such products are "equal" after the bid closing. Per ORS 279B.065(1), the agency may award the procurement in any manner it deems practical or convenient, including by direct selection or award, as the total contract value does not exceed $10,000.
