About this file

The document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) for the replacement of the cooling system components of the agency's walk-in cooler and freezer units. The project involves the replacement of the condensing unit, evaporator, expansion valves, and controls. The desired installation period is November 22-24, 2021, and a mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 10, 2021. Interested vendors must attend the pre-bid meeting and sign the attendance sheet to be eligible to submit a quote. Any questions received between September 11-17, 2021 will be answered on September 20, 2021. The RFQ provides the dimensions of the cooler and freezer units for which the refrigeration components are to be replaced.

The RFQ requires vendors to provide a complete materials list, including brands and model numbers, with their quote. Pricing must be held firm for 30 days, and the award will be made to the vendor whose quote best serves the interests of the DPSST, considering factors such as experience, expertise, product functionality, suitability, and contractor responsibility. The RFQ also includes questions related to the vendor's experience in retrofitting commercial refrigeration units and the availability of their hardware components.
