About this file
This document is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) REDM2526-01 for Continuing Contracts for Construction Management Services in Central Florida, issued by the Department of Management Services (DMS). The RFQ seeks to establish construction management (CM) firms for projects in the Central Florida region, with firms submitting complete proposals for selection. Project assignments will be made by a REDM Project Manager based on factors including availability, expertise, past experience, project location, and qualifications. The document clarifies that once a firm is selected for the Central Florida region, they do not need to reapply for additional regions where they have an office.
The RFQ provides additional key details through a Q&A format, including that bonding will be required per individual project, the Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for obtaining building permits, and there are no specific participation goals for small businesses or minority-owned businesses. Prequalification instructions can be found on the DMS website, and written statements will suffice for certain certifications. Interested firms must submit a complete proposal, with links provided for required documents such as the Contractor Questionnaire and Construction Manager Selection Form. The selection process emphasizes qualifications and will not involve rotation, mini-competitions, or predetermined assignment methods.
