About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Request for Qualifications (RFQ) REDM2425-06 issued by the Department of Military Affairs (DMA) - Florida Guard. The project involves architectural and engineering services for designing and constructing two aircraft hangars (one approximately 15,000 square feet and another approximately 25,000 square feet) and an associated 5,000 square foot administration building at the Lakeland Linder International Airport. The solicitation seeks an Architect-Engineer to provide comprehensive services as outlined in Section 2 of the RFQ, with specific security requirements including intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control, CCTV, and key control. The project will not include a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) or SIPRnet.

The total project budget is $13,000,000, which does not include additional work for an undetermined airport facility in Northeast Florida. The document clarifies that aviation work should be reported based on the client, not the funding source, and responses must be submitted physically (not via email) as specified in Section 8 of the RFQ. The specific project timeline will be established by the Construction Team, and the location is definitively confirmed as 3900 Don Emerson Drive in Lakeland, Florida. Potential bidders are advised that failure to file a protest within prescribed statutory timeframes or to post required bonds will constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120 of Florida Statutes.
